Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (SS&P) is a global function which partners with Capital Group business units to provide a variety of services that support the enterprise mission and business strategies. Operating primarily in North America, core functions include strategic sourcing (includes multiple spend categories), procurement operations, contingent labor management and business management. Together, these services ensure third party spend and supplier relationships are actively managed to deliver optimal business results.
As a Senior Manager based in Irvine, you will play a critical role leading the Business Management and Operations team within the SS&P organization. You will be responsible for leading organizational strategy and execution related to operating model, technology enablement, organizational effectiveness and process improvements. In addition, you will work with strategic sourcing teams and business partners to lead procurement operations in support of enterprise buying needs. Additionally, as a member of the SS&P senior management team, you will have broad responsibilities for setting goals and objectives for the department as well as long-term, strategic planning and direct involvement in the performance management process for associates and managers.
Responsibilities:
Ensure understanding of current business drivers and plans while keeping business leaders apprised of procurement operations issues by providing relevant and timely information, insights and recommendations
Collaborate with SS&P leadership to lead strategic planning for organizational operating model, design, and capability development
Manage enterprise procure-to-pay processes and provide procurement systems administration support for company's sourcing and contracting platforms
Provide SS&P operating metrics and third party spend analysis & insights to sourcing teams and business units in order to make timely, informed business decisions
Leads departmental technology strategy and enablement in collaboration with IT business partners
Manage departmental annual budget and expense management efforts
Set the tone in the department and ensure that the Capital Group's core values and philosophy are reflected through consistent role modeling
Build a high performing team, including performance management and development of future leaders, as well as manage, motivate, coach and inspire manager and associates on the team
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in leading organizations related to Sourcing & Procurement, Finance, and/or business administration & operations
Financial services or asset management business operations experience desired
Experience in organizational transformation and capability building
Demonstrates ability to influence senior business leaders on strategic business matters
Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, analytical, and problem solving skills in areas of high complexity, ambiguity and diversity
Demonstrates ability to lead and manage complex projects of significant scope across the organization
Demonstrates ability to collaborate and develop/maintain working relationships inside and outside the organization to enable effective completion of business objectives
A degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business Administration and Professional Sourcing Certification strongly desired

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
